More Christmas Pics

We gave up on a smile from Jaxon...but it still turned out cute.

Spent a day decorating cookies...much more time consuming than I would have expected. Maybe my patience was just strained.

Yee-haw!

Jaxon and his big green dinosaur...he loved it, but wouldn't touch it. (lol)

I always feel like I am never in any pictures. So I had my mom take a quick one after a family get-together and I even got an adorable smile out of my usually silly faced son.

My mom and Malorie (St. Mountain Park)

He LOVED this train Mimi and Papi got him.

Hannah, Jaxon & Parker

Nana, Hannah and Jaxon (Hannah was being a little camera shy)

Malorie, Me and Mom...this picture was actually taken at Thanksgiving and I never posted it (oops).

Holiday Photos

I am happy to finally put up a few holiday photos! Lots of baking, and family gatherings as usual it was fun...but I am relieved all the running around is over with.

Jaxon was just the cutest thing Christmas morning his kinda stumbled into the living room and was a little overwhelmed with everything. Lots of new stuff to look at; it was awesome! You may also notice Jaxon has started making faces at the camera - lol. Just check out the picture with Jonathan, when we say "show us your teeth" (for him to smile) he cheeses SOOOO hard. It is hilarious! This kid is just great. I really don't know what I'm going to do once I have to go back to school. Right now I'm just eating up all this one-on-one time every day.

Nursing School

So for those of you who don't know already, I will begin nursing school in January. I am so anxious to get started! I have been such a whirlwind of emotions lately, nervous, excited, terrified and sad. Many of these are directly because of the drastic changes my life is going through right now. Thursday this week will be my last day at my job, I am sad to leave behind people who I have formed tight bonds with over the last five years and move on to something which is unknown. The next three weeks will be spent running around and trying to balance my time between Jaxon, house work, school and the holidays! 800 pages of reading I need to get done before I start class January 11th...this should be interesting :)Wish me luck...the next 18 months I will need all the prayers I can get. (I'll do the hard work / determination part...but any extra prayers can't hurt either).

Also, I know it's been awhile since I've posted any pictures so I promise that is one of the things I will do with any spare time I get. We are visiting Santa on Saturday at Stone Mountain, so I'm sure I will have plenty to share once the weekend is up.

Holidays Full Force

So it is December 1st...the holidays are here! All of a sudden something going on EVERY weekend. I have been so out of character lately, usually I am anxious to hit the holiday sales and crowds (tis' the season) but for I am having lots of trouble with it this year. I should be more excited than ever, with this being the year that I will be able to spend with my family. My last day at work will be December 17th, meaning that I will have the whole week of Christmas and the week after to enjoy plenty of R&R and truly ENJOY this precious time thoroughly, before starting school in January. The feeling is just not excitement this could possibly be because this is the first holiday without my Mowmow which is making it much harder. I have relied on friends, music and books for comfort and distraction which has been my safe haven. My newest faves are Paramore and Taylor Swift! LOVING them! I haven't taken them out of my cd changer for at least 2 weeks. Nonetheless, I am hoping this dreary mood passes soon. We did manage to get up the Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree. Day after Thanksgiving just as planned...egg nog and hot chocolate! Actually I missed the other decorations being scattered throughout the house. I went to a movie on Saturday and then went to visit with Elizabeth after wards -when I came home "poof" I walked into a winter wonderland.
I did take a few pictures from Thanksgiving which hopefully I will post later this week. Soooo much to do so little time and energy. I am sorry if this sounds 'out of sorts' as I warned. Positive thinking will prevail...just not tonight - maybe by Friday. Have a wonderful week all you friends and family out there.
