Done & Done!

Although my tree is officially dead (hence the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree below - which is about what mine looks like now)...I am completely finished with the holiday shopping, my Christmas cards are mailed & I have only about 3 or 4 gifts left to wrap!!! SO - I get to enjoy the next 5 days simply cleaning the house and getting it ready for the chaos which will ensue Saturday morning. What a wonderful feeling! Since I may not post again till after Christmas - "Merry Christmas to all...and to all a good night!"
(Now....on to planning Jaxon's 3rd Birthday - lol)

Bokeh!

Okay, so this is random - and quite boring for most, but I was absolutely thrilled at how my Christmas lights (yes, on my tree) turned out when using cut-out bokeh that I had to share.  This was one of my first pictures using the snowflake but, maybe if I get a cooperative subject my next try testing won't be JUST the lights.

Fun...even with a Cold

Pictures from today's "LETTER TO SANTA". I was determined to fit this in before the craziness of the weekend got here.  I created a little letter with envelope for Jaxon to write (& me to help) some of the things he wants Santa to bring him.  He has been VERY sick (as you can REALLY see in the bottom right photo) but we did manage to get about 15 minutes of fun Christmas crafting in before he wanted his blanket, juice and a cartoon.

(P.S. Tricia, thank you for our Christmas Wreath - it matches my living room wonderfully.)

* Poor Thing with his heavy eyes :(
(Did I mention that he had his picture made with Kenny Rogers...oh wait...I mean Santa Claus.)

Christmas Card to Everyone!

I am hopeful that I WILL get all of my Christmas cards out on time this year, but, in the event that I do not...here's a little digital love to send your way! Muuuuaahhh!

LOVE the Holidays!

I LOVE this time of year!  It's always so warm, cozy and tasty smells are always around.  Old Christmas movies on the television and lights twinkling throughout the house.  There are so many things that make this time of year so crazy and rambunctious but there's also a childlike quality to it that is so innocent and fabulous.  There are several Christmas gifts that I have been having trouble locating in the store but I just can't bring myself to order my gifts online. It takes away from the 'experience' I have when I do my holiday shopping. I look forward to my large cup of coffee and my strolls through all the stores to find my gifts.  Looking at the window displays and Christmas set-up is something I look forward to all year. I am not desperate enough to let that go just yet by buying my Christmas online.

Why is this time of year so wonderful?...Some of my favorite Christmas things are...
***Winter is my FAVORITE smell in the house...***
***We usually drive around the neighborhoods in the area and look at the houses that are decked out in Christmas decorations/lights.
How much do you think their December light bill is? WOW!***
***Who doesn't love SANTA!?***

***The holiday scene...***
***Good food!***
***& Hot coffees, lattes & ciders***
