So, several weeks ago I made the decision to not move forward in the nursing career. It was a difficult decision but one that ultimately was made. My heart was simply not in it and I didn't have the drive to do it. I have instead decided to move forward with something that I am truly passionate about. I have decided to find a better balance with being a working mom and student. I have spent the last few weeks in total awwww of my little guy, have been marveling at everything he's doing, and effectively wondering what I have been missing. Therefore - BALANCE is my goal. I plan on taking photography classes at UGA beginning in September, and I will work only part-time at my previous job. I am really excited about what this will mean for my family. It is no secret that I was simply not pleasant while in school the last 6 months - it was a true struggle for me to keep my sanity. I am not sad that I decided not to finish my nursing school start, simply glad that I did. Had I not, I would have always wondered if it was something I would have wanted to do. I feel so very at ease and grateful for the insight it has given me. It has let me re-prioritize and realize some of the things we take for granted, and some things we sacrifice when maybe we shouldn't. I feel confident that things will work out in the end - I have to believe that.
It is so amazing how easily a child can erase the stresses we have, it has been somewhat of a natural prozac to be home and be able so spend this quality time with my family. I will blog when possible and hopefully share some new interesting pictures once I get going in my class. I look forward to positive posting!

July 4th Fun!
For our Forth of July, we went to the Braves game.
The park put on a great pre-game ceremony.
Hanging out before the game.

Heading into the game!
I'm sure this video was pretty hilarious.
He LOOOVED doing the chop!
A little tired
The fireworks were amazing...these pictures don't begin to do them justice.
We had such a great time even though the Braves didn't win :( Jaxon LOVED it so much and I can't wait to go again.
